Elbridge Jordan-Elbridge's Susan Gorton is expected to retire in September.
The acceptance of her retirement is up for vote at the next Jordan-Elbridge Board of Education meeting, Feb. 15.
Gorton, the district's Assistant Superintendent for Instruction, would retire from the district Sept. 7, should her retirement be accepted by the board.
Gorton was appointed as interim Superintendent on the district's website in 2010. That later went to court and a judge determined the district violated the open meetings law, as Gorton's appointment was made while in executive session.
